Our Board of Directors

Bright Futures Foundation (BFF) functions with an all volunteer board of directors and a few dedicated staff overseas. Our success springs from the dedication of board members and the wide circle of friends and acquaintances that have been drawn into the compelling projects and activities of BFF. Board members bring a wide range of expertise and skills, while sharing a passion for the work of the organization.

Board members volunteer their time and energy to the business of running the nonprofit as well as financing their own trips to visit projects and support overseas staff. Of the current 12 board members, 8 have visited the projects, several making more than one trip. This hands-on involvement of board members and the eye-to-eye accountability are a powerful combination resulting in strong programs.

The current board as of Summer 2009 is composed of the following individuals:

• Cherryl Walker: Murphy, Oregon
• Jes Webb: Grants Pass, Oregon
• Amy Wilson: Grants Pass, Oregon
• Catherine Wood: Murphy, Oregon

The board meets monthly, with conference-calling making the contribution of our out-of-town members a productive reality. Regular board retreats, strategic planning and pro bono support from legal and accounting professionals keep BFF functioning at a high level of performance and integrity.
