Staff
Bright Futures Foundation operates with
an all-volunteer board and a small, effective staff overseas.
These talented, motivated people are at the core of the success
of these projects.
 Keshav
Thapa, Intern/Project Liaison. Keshav
Thapa is a student intern who helps mentor and monitor the Bright
Futures scholarship students at Galaxy School as well as providing
detailed and careful management of the funds provided for Bhotechaur
Health Clinic. Keshav is an ambitious and hard working young
Nepali, who has achieved the highest level of education yet
of anyone from his rural village hometown. Keshav values and
promotes education and volunteerism. He keeps a close eye on
the students providing support to encourage their success and
growth in the program.
Devi Gurung, Clinic Manager.
Devi Gurung is the Bhotechaur Health Clinic Manager, hired
in 2007 to help the clinic bring the best service possible
to those in need of medical attention. Devi worked for the
Dhulikhel hospital before returning last fall to her home,
Bhotechaur, where she grew up. While Devi resides in Bhotechaur
full time, the rest of her family lives about two and a half
hours away. She enjoys the opportunity to supervise the training
of local staff and initiating team building programs. Devi
loves working in a community setting and appreciates being
instrumental in empowering women.
Over the last six months under Devi's supervision, the Bhotechaur
Health Clinic has become the new local standard of health
care service.
